Oh, the Ad

Oh, I forget that you guys must be referring to the ad by the group calling itself "Drunken Stateside Sons of Prominent Politicians for Plausible Deniability". The one where they set the record straight about whether or not George Bush sodomized a goat.

527s are legal. 527s are fine. 527s are nice. Ads that make completely false accusations are wrong, no matter how you look at it, and Bush's attempt to blame the organizations instead of the tactic just shows how little integrity the man has.

Swift Boat Vets for Truth can continue to exist as a 527. They could even talk to people about Kerry being aloof or nasty on the boat. When they lie and have to eat their words, though, it stings just as bad as when Bob Dole lies about John Kerry's Purple Hearts, when, in fact, Bob Dole's wounds were essentially self-inflicted.

Senator Dole answered the nation's call and shed his blood for our country and then gave the rest of his life in the service of our country. So has John Kerry.
Citation: the 527 named above was proposed by "The Daily Show". Ed Gillespie was on last night. I was surprised that Jon Stewart didn't check to make sure his reflection appeared in mirrors.
