Dude, Where's My Clue?

I'll verify right off the bat that my title is a spin on an Ashton Kutcher movie, and nothing more.

Y'all just ain't getting it. You're collective asses are being handed to you (again) by Karl Rove and Shrub. You are facing at best a razor thin victory that will rest in the hands of the Federal Courts, and at worst, a 40 state landslide.

So after the attack on W's service in the TANG went south, where do we find ourselves this week?
"Flyers distributed to Texas voters during Bush's failed Congressional race say 'he served in the U.S. Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard.' But according to Air Force officials, Air National Guardsmen are not counted as members of the active-duty Air Force."

That race was, like, twenty years ago. And you're resting your attack on the a definition of "service" that only seems to matter to pensioners and bean counters? This, alas is why they will lose. The attacks on Kerry's testimony do not go to the definition of "service", they go to the definition of "sedition"

And yet he still doesn't get it. People aren't angry about whether he was sprinkled with shrapnel or if he overnighted in Cambodia, they are angry because when he came back he called his fellow soldiers, airmen and airmen baby killers who raped and pillaged in a way reminiscent of Ghenghis Kahn.

He included everybody. He didn't make exceptions for men serving in small airbases 300 klicks south of the DMZ or grapes refueling -6's on the Sara 60 miles out on Red Crown.

He will lose because he lacks the spirit of the warrior. I, also, lack the spirit of a warrior - I can document many occasions where I decided that absence was the better part of valor. But my participation in a war fourteen years ago doesn't make me qualified to lead a country in a war. That, alas, is a matter of character. And a man who came home to call his fellow soldiers murderers and baby killers lacks that character.
Another guilty movie pleasure was revealed when I saw the picture below - The Fat and the Furious
