Evolution, pt. II

Frankly, it's a fringe thing. It excites a very specific group of people, for whom this is the be all end all topic of discussion. It's in the same vein as the Freedom from Religion crowd and the gaggle of people who put up anti-UN signs in their front yards.

Look, the Vatican has embraced evolution. The guys with the gold bracade, the pointy hats and the penchant for large crowds in the rain have decided that this is a religious truth. That pretty much says it for me.

As for Kansas Baptists, well, we live in a representative deomcracy. If you don't like what your local officials are doing, run for office, lobby gov't, or leave the state. If rampant multi-culti drives you bugfuck, get out of San Francisco. If you're uncomfortable with what your kids are learning in school, put them in another one. This ain't Tennessee in the 1930s - there are other options.

I'm not really sure where the Important National Debate is on this issue.

But I still respect their beliefs. As much as I respect the wrongheaded pacifism of the Quakers and the stubborn determination of the Cubs fans. If you don't like it, fix it.
Seriously was there an important issue here? This seems like the background noise of Democracy.
