What Liberal Media?


Although U.N. Emergency Relief Coordinator Jan Egeland yesterday withdrew his earlier comment, domestic criticism of Bush continued to rise. Skeptics said the initial aid sums -- as well as Bush's decision at first to remain cloistered on his Texas ranch for the Christmas holiday rather than speak in person about the tragedy -- showed scant appreciation for the magnitude of suffering and for the rescue and rebuilding work facing such nations as Sri Lanka, India, Thailand and Indonesia.

Okay, we get it. Unless W uses his amazing feats of superstrength to personally go into the earth's molten core and fiddle with the plates like Christopher Reeve would've done, he's doing nothing. If you scroll even deeper into the story, you'll learn that the Abraham Lincoln and the 3d Marine Expeditionary Unit have also been dispatched to help with relief efforts.

Former President Bill Clinton, OTOH, appeared on the BBC to feel their pain. Thank God. I was worried that our former presidents wouldn't step up to the plate to do some good old fashioned pain feeling.

Where is Saudi Arabia? Where is Egypt? Where is Iran? Where in the bloody hell is China?
In other news, the Kerry vote total in Ohio is now 450 votes closer to W's Just another 180,000 to go!
