Silly Syllogisms

From the PA ambassador to the UN (also, coincidentally, the unshaven one's nephew):
Al-Kidwa said toxicology tests were conducted during Arafat's two-week stay in France but "no poisons known to doctors were found." He did not, however, categorically rule out poisoning — which again could fuel theories in the Middle East that Arafat was murdered.

"This possibility could not be excluded," he said. "We are not excluding that but we are not asserting that, because asserting that requires proof and we do not have the proof that suggests there was poison."
[More . . .]

I kid you not, I tried to use that exact same argument in court yesterday with a records custodian, and you know what? Hizzoner didn't buy it either.
I have always respected the breasts on Liberal Women. Conservative Women are, on the whole, more stable and prettier, but more often then not the adjective "athletic" seems to apply.

Nice Tits

More of why they lost.
This was supposed to be a post about The Incredibles, but she has really nice Liberal Tits.

gobble gobble

I'm off for a week, up to the frigid northern expanses of this country, by which I mean a brief stop in NYC and then on to Maryland. NYC to pick up my boy, then MD to see my sis and her new girl.

Driving with Mom and Dad for 12 or so hours, then DC Metro, Dragon Bus to NYC, abscond with boy via Dragon Bus to DC, Metro to Shady Grove, car ride past Dick Cheney's undisclosed location in Blue Mountain, MD, and then at my sister's place, where she has somehow promised to serve a fully cooked Thanksgiving meal.

Boy and I will unironically watch the Macy Parade. We will watch football with Dad and Sis. I will read Greek mythology with him out of the first book of Greek mythology I read from when I was in the second grade. We will go see "The Incredibles". We will thrill at the Star Wars trailer.

And then, Saturday, I will return him to NYC and take my leave of the town. Back to Florida, where Dad just picked citrus fruit off the tree to bring up north.

And so to bed.
Happy Thanksgiving! Expect a call Thanksgiving afternoon, Brian and Michelle. No call for you, Terry.

Notice to All Hunters

In the Navy we would have to file a NOTAM - Notice to all Mariners - when we would do potentially hazardous stuff like live fire exercises or when we would promulgate new Rules of Engagement in a specific area.

Here we go:

22NOV041457Z: THE AREA DESGINATED ON YOUR PLATT BOOK NORTH OF CTH "A" SOUTH OF THE WISCONSIN RIVER IN THE TOWNSHIP OF KING, LINCOLN COUNTY, RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE USE OF STOVEHUGGERS INTERNATIONAL FOR THE PERIOD 14SEP041900Z - 29NOV040500Z IS HEREBY RESTRICTED SPACE. HUNTERS NOT INVITED TO STOVEHUGGERS INTERNATIONAL, WHO ARE FOUND ON THE PROPERTY AND WHO ENGAGE BY HOSTILE FIRE MEMBERS OF STOVEHUGGERS INTERNATIONAL WILL BE SHOT. AND THEN THEY WILL BE SHOT AGAIN. AND THEN SHOT ONCE MORE BEFORE BEING GUTTED, TAGGED AND TAKEN TO THE DNR STATION IN TOMAHAWK.
You never think it will come to this, but there you are.

Concur; Incredibles fantastic

I also saw The Incredibles because I promised Dante that I would take him to see it and told him that the Revenge of the Sith trailer would be in front of it. Dowloaded the trailer, watched with the lights off, waiting to be disappointed to the tune of $8 plus whatever costs I incur camping out for tickets. Don't make fun.

Had to go see the movie, though, when soon-to-be-ex reported that she'd heard that it wasn't for kids. Wha? Not for kids?

Then I saw that it's rated PG.

There were way more guns in it than I was comfortable with not to mention a suicide attempt! I found it a little on the rough side for kids. I'll still take Dante to see it, but I was a little concerned about the violence, etc.

Worst of all, the EpIII trailer was not shown!! I found out when I got home that some theatres are now showing it before the Spongebob movie?!?! What's up with that?
Of course, this means that I'm going to have to explain what a jackalope is to my son. Better learning from me than on the street.

As Good as it Gets

Went to go see The Incredibles (Fantastic, may blog on it later) today with the family.

The coming attractions included the trailer for Episode III. It was phenomenal. Everything that Star Wars is and needs to be.

But I wept. For I knew that the trailer was good as it was ever going to be.
The Wookie army looked cool, but Lucas will figure out a way to screw that up, too. I'll bet they talk like the Care Bears or something equally horrific.
